Security Engineer

WISE WOLVES GROUP is assembling a top-tier team of professionals for our expanding business, established to provide Asset Management and Custody services for Digital Assets in Cyprus and Switzerland

We are looking for Security engineers who are extremely curious, think critically, and have the drive to learn and discover and an interest in blockchain and cybersecurity.

The primary responsibility for an Information Security Engineer position will be maintaining, evaluating, and testing the security of all our systems, infrastructure and applications. Security Engineer will assist with the ongoing protection of digital assets, and the maintenance and expansion of the security architecture.

The successful candidate will show a passion for security, have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, possesses excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate аadvanced written and oral communication skills. The one is a highly adaptive team player and independent professional who can meet rapidly changing deadlines.

Additional qualification requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital signature algorithms, key management, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
  • Hands-on experience with Web3 technologies, including blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols.
  • Proven experience in Python programming, with a focus on cryptography.
Job responsibilities:
  • Respond to and resolve cyber incidents efficiently.
  • Manage and monitor security systems.
  • Support in reviews to improve security within the business/systems.
  • Liaise with the infrastructure team to maintain a secure environment.
  • Assist infrastructure / team lead in ongoing and new projects.
  • Conduct cyber incident testing.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing improvement and maintenance of security posture.
  • Maintain documentation at a high standard.
  • Expand and formalize our Blockchain Security program to evolve towards continuous and ongoing risk assessment for our onchain products.
  • Develop on-chain security strategies and perform security assessments and threat modeling of various blockchain protocols.
  • Lead from the front, be proactive and thorough, and identify top on-chain security risks and develop strategies to deal with them.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to the team in building new frameworks, analysis tools, and security products.
  • Lead the way in establishing best practices and engage with product and eng teams to get them adopted.
  • Contribute to our security tools and create new ones in collaboration with our internal research team.
  • Conduct security research and publish your findings.
